When chance changes everything
The play “Big Money” is staged based on the eponymous play by the famous British playwright Ray Cooney, which captivates from the first minutes and does not let go until the very finale. According to the plot, the modest accountant Henry lived quite measuredly and modestly. But his life suddenly turns upside down after the unexpected discovery of – a suitcase full of money. It would seem this is a chance for a new life, but along with the money come problems. The hero is forced to improvise, invent, try on different roles – from a romantic lover to an adventurer and even a participant in criminal stories – in order to keep the unexpectedly acquired wealth.
In the play, events unfold at a rapid pace. Gradually the situations become more complicated, lies accumulate, and the circumstances become increasingly absurd. Every new plot twist only increases the tension and comedy, making the audience laugh and at the same time empathize with the characters.
